Kennet Ozone Generator for WR Valves

£320.00

(excluding VAT)

Quantity

The Ozone Generator kit allows you to disinfect the filter bed without the use of chemicals. It is designed to work with our Air Filter Systems.

Features:

  • Disinfection of the media bed
  • Proprietary design
  • Chemical-free, environmentally safe
  • Audible notification if service is required
  • Easy snap-on mounting clip
  • Enhances removal capacity of the media

How does it work?

During regeneration, air filters recharge the top portion of the media tank with air. This recharged air oxidizes contaminants in the water, allowing them to be filtered out through the media below. The Ozone Generator activates during the air-draw cycle of regeneration. As air is being drawn into the tank, it passes through an electrical field created by the ozone generator which converts normal oxygen (O2) to ozone (O3). The generated ozone is then drawn into the tank which helps clean the unit nuissance, slime producing bacteria. This process produces no chemical by-product and is environmentally safe.

Water Right Series advantage

As with all Water Right Air Filter Systems, this advancement enhances many of the other unique features such as advanced history screens, unmatched programming capabilities, diagnostic screens, and patented "Inch Worm" technology.

Inch Worm

Inch Worm is an adjustable cycle that allows the control valve to slowly "Inch Worm" its way into backwash, allowing air to escape slowly instead of in one "rush." This slow release of air virtually eliminates the thrashing of drain lines or noisy discharge of air to drain when the valve first advances to backwash.

Applications:

The Ozone Generator kit is compatible with filtration units using the following medias:

  • Turbidex
  • Catalytic Carbon
  • Hydrox
  • GST/Calcite

WRAS certification stands for Water Regulations Advisory Scheme approval, and it’s a trusted mark that shows a product complies with the UK's water supply regulations.
It means the materials and components used won't contaminate your drinking water and that the product is built to a high standard of safety and quality. It’s especially important for anything connected to the mains water supply, whether you’re fitting out a commercial site or upgrading your home system.

How Often Should I Replace My Water Filter?

In the UK, most domestic and commercial water filters should be replaced every 6 to 12 months, depending on the type of filter, water quality, and usage levels. Here's a quick breakdown:

• Sediment Filters (used in pre-treatment): Every 6 months or sooner if water flow drops noticeably.

• Carbon Filters (for taste, odour, chlorine): Every 6 to 12 months.

• Reverse Osmosis Filters: Prefilters every 6–12 months, membrane every 2–3 years.

• UV Lamps: Annually (bulb may still light after a year but won't provide effective disinfection)

• Limescale Filters: Cartridges usually last 6–12 months, depending on hardness and flow.

If you're dealing with high sediment levels, hard water, or heavy usage (like in a commercial setting), you may need to replace filters more frequently. Always follow the manufacturer’s guidance, and if in doubt, we’re happy to advise based on your system and setup.
