What Is WRAS Certification?

WRAS certification stands for Water Regulations Advisory Scheme approval, and it’s a trusted mark that shows a product complies with the UK's water supply regulations.
It means the materials and components used won't contaminate your drinking water and that the product is built to a high standard of safety and quality. It’s especially important for anything connected to the mains water supply, whether you’re fitting out a commercial site or upgrading your home system.
All of our products are WRAS certified as standard, so you can have complete confidence they’re fully compliant, reliable and built to last. If you're ever unsure about what's required for your setup, we're always happy to advise.

Do Waterwise Pumps Prices Include VAT?

All products on the Waterwise Pumps website are listed exclusive of VAT. VAT is calculated and added automatically at checkout, based on the applicable UK VAT rate, before payment is taken.
This approach allows our pricing to remain clear and consistent for both trade and domestic customers, while ensuring the correct VAT amount is applied to every order. You will always be able to review the full order total, including VAT, before completing your purchase.
If you have any questions about VAT, invoicing, or pricing, our team is happy to assist.

Do Waterwise Pumps Offer Site Surveys Or Water Testing?

What Is The Return Policy?

We get that sometimes things don’t go to plan. If you need to return an item, you have 14 days from receiving your order to let us know. Returns are welcome as long as the goods are unused and in original condition, and we may apply a small restocking fee.
If there’s a fault or we’ve sent the wrong item, we’ll sort it quickly and cover any return costs. For exchanges, just get in touch and we’ll walk you through it. Some larger systems shipped direct from the manufacturer may follow different return policies, but we’ll always keep you informed.
Just give us a call or drop us an email if you need help.

How Often Should I Replace My Water Filter?

In the UK, most domestic and commercial water filters should be replaced every 6 to 12 months, depending on the type of filter, water quality, and usage levels. Here's a quick breakdown:

Sediment Filters (used in pre-treatment): Every 6 months or sooner if water flow drops noticeably.

Carbon Filters (for taste, odour, chlorine): Every 6 to 12 months.

Reverse Osmosis Filters: Prefilters every 6–12 months, membrane every 2–3 years.

UV Lamps: Annually (bulb may still light after a year but won't provide effective disinfection)

Limescale Filters: Cartridges usually last 6–12 months, depending on hardness and flow.

If you're dealing with high sediment levels, hard water, or heavy usage (like in a commercial setting), you may need to replace filters more frequently. Always follow the manufacturer’s guidance, and if in doubt, we’re happy to advise based on your system and setup.
